Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club History

On May 18, 1990, The Clarksville Rotary Club (Coloquially known as the "Noon Club") established a new morning club called Clarksville (Sunrise) Rotary Club. The "Noon Club" had arisen in 1917, only twelve years after Rotary Began. A committee from the "Noon Club", Darol Walker (Chairman), Thomas Burney , Bill Harpel, Allan Williams, and William Ellis served as facilitators. Ellis served as the then District Governor's personal representative in the establishment of the breakfast club. nine members transferred to the new "Morning Club". Twentyone other recruits made up the total original membership.
