Rotary Youth Exchange Program
The Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored their first Rotary Youth Exchange Student in the Summer of 2005.
Autumn Bagwell applied and was sent to Germany. She then hosted her student, Laura, here in Tennessee. For more about Autumn's exchange, check out the link below.
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program offers long-term, or year long, and short-term, or summer, exchanges for students. These students must meet the program requirements and be sponsored by a Rotarian, a Rotary Club, or a Rotary District. Yes, children of Rotarians are eligible for Rotary Youth Exchange!
Students applying for Rotary Youth Exchange must be between the ages of 15-19 and no more than 18½ at the time of departing for long-term exchange. Qualified applicants are academically above average, articulate, and demonstrate community leadership skills.
Students must complete the appropriate Application as well as a Host Family Application and submit those forms to their local Rotary Club, in this case, Clarksville Sunrise Rotary Club.
Applicants must be approved both by the local sponsoring Rotary Club as well as the District Youth Exchange Officer/Committee.
